Studio gear: Everyone has their own gear, there is no standard but I'll cover usual gear needs for pro audio in the next video. Wiring: Don't skimp out on wiring, home studio or not you want clean sound on everything from your mics to your sound cards to your mixing boards etc. Keyboard: Midi enabled Aftermarket sound card: For new comers I'd recommend the steinberg CI2 - it's awesome. Mixer: Get a Mackie 16 if you're starting out, or even pro. I've been at it for 12 years and have condensed my studio over the years a lot, and I love my mackie for home use. Midi cables: Any - usb is ok nowadays as technology has caught up to audio nicely. I have the uno usb/midi going to my motif and it has awesome response time. Monitors/speakers: Rokit's are popular, I have the Mackie M8's, depending on your room size consider 5" vs 8" vs10" monitors, most often 5-8 will do.
