A lot of people have asked me how to record keyboards and other instruments/devices into ACID. This is my official response. Summary: An explanation as to which cables you need in order to record sound from an external device (keyboard, rack, turntable, mic, etc.) into Sony ACID (or any other software multitrack) and how to connect these cables to your computer's stock sound card. If you are not using a stock soundcard, ie the sound card that your computer came with, this video may not help you. This video should apply to virtually all PC stock sound cards and external devices such as turntables, microphones (dynamic or condenser), keyboards/racks (including the roland phantom, korg triton and oasis, yamaha motif, sr-3, etc), guitar amplifiers, vcr's, televisions, dvd players, and basically anything else that outputs sound.

A lot of people have asked me how to record keyboards and other instruments/devices into ACID. This is my official response. Andy was selected as one of five finalists by the Artist Relations teams at Taylor Guitars and Elixir Strings, from the top 50 bands after finishing sixth in the first round the competition. Andy and his band received two Taylor (400 & 300 series Grand Auditorium) acoustic guitars and a supply of strings and cables from the folks at Elixir. They used their gear to make this video. It was announced on Friday, September 17 that they won the competition! In this part I track guitars and whine about a few stuff on the way. When tracking is done, we will move onto editing and then mixing. I will share my methods in editing and mixing later on and that is also when I will give tips about how to achieve a good guitar tone and so on. You should subscribe if you are interested in music, recording, mixing, tracking or anything that has to do with this because I will start from the beginning of a recording and take you all the way through to a finished album.
